Vast Klein Karoo valley at golden hour

Klein Karoo · Western Cape

Wilderness Reconnection
Under The Stars

A private eco pod reserve hidden amongst rolling mountains and ancient valleys. Two thousand six hundred hectares of untouched wilderness — and some of the darkest skies in South Africa.

Secluded. Private. Untouched.

Kleinheid is a curated collection of architecturally distinct eco pods, each positioned to capture uninterrupted views across the valley. Floor-to-ceiling glazing dissolves the boundary between interior and wilderness.

Dark Sky Reserve

The Stars
Are The Show

No city glow. No light pollution. Just the Milky Way stretching from ridge to ridge over two thousand six hundred hectares of silence. Every pod faces the sky. Every deck is a private observatory. Telescopes, star charts, and hot tubs under the cosmos.

Free-roaming game by day. Black eagles overhead. A billion stars by night.

Five exclusively curated stays, each with its own architectural form and character. Inspired by the finest pod reserves — built for the Klein Karoo.

Stargazing Decks

Stargazing Decks

Private observation decks at every pod with telescopes, reclining loungers, and unobstructed sky views. The Milky Way rises over the ridge line — no filter required.

Wood-Fired Hot Tubs

Wood-Fired Hot Tubs

Positioned beneath the open sky, each hot tub invites you to soak while the stars wheel overhead. Steam, silence, and the sound of jackals in the distance.

Private Reservoir Pools

Private Reservoir Pools

Natural rock-lined pools fed by mountain springs. Swim in complete solitude surrounded by fynbos, then watch the sunset bleed into starlight.

Hiking Trails

Hiking Trails

Winding 4×4 routes and marked trails through protea stands, quartzite ridges, and ancient riverbeds. Eland, kudu, and klipspringer roam free.

Solar power at dawn in the Klein Karoo

Off-Grid By Design

Solar-powered pods with borehole water and satellite connectivity. Wind pumps turn on the ridge. The grid stays far away — and so does the light pollution.
